Terms of service
Effective date: October 1, 2026 · Last updated: October 1, 2026
Who this covers
These Terms of Service govern your use of 1099copy, a Paperwork Labs LLC product available at 1099copy.com. 1099copy is still in development and this site is an informational page, with account sign-in, ahead of launch. By using this site, you agree to these terms.
What 1099copy does
1099copy is an information-returns filing product for 1099s and W-2s. The landing page includes a demo that previews how a spreadsheet becomes filing-ready forms; that file is read and parsed entirely in your browser and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Once filing is live, you as the filer are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for the correctness of every Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) you provide. 1099copy does not verify a TIN against IRS or SSA records on your behalf unless a specific feature says otherwise.
Accounts and acceptable use
You can create a 1099copy account through Paperwork ID, our shared sign-in. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep it current, keep your credentials confidential, and answer for activity under your account. You agree not to use this site for an unlawful purpose, interfere with the site, or probe its security without our written permission.
Fees and billing
There is no billing today. If a paid filing feature launches, its pricing and billing terms will be described here and at the point of purchase before you are charged.
Intellectual property
1099copy, including its software, design, and text, is owned by Paperwork Labs LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the site as intended.
Privacy
How we collect, use, and retain information in connection with 1099copy is described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
1099copy is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paperwork Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which is $0 while 1099copy has no paid tier.
Dispute resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court. You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
Changes to these terms
Because 1099copy is still in development, we expect these terms to change. If we make a material change, we will update this page and change the effective date above before the change takes effect. We will publish a revised version here before 1099copy launches.
